Fighting for women's access to quality, affordable healthcare and family planning services was never easy, but lately, anti-choice Republicans have been unrelenting in their assault on a woman's right to choose.
That's why, even as we mark the 41st anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision this week, we continue to need strong leaders like Brad Schneider in the U.S. Congress fighting to defend a woman's right to choose.
Just last week, a bill was introduced in Congress that would deny important tax subsidies to women who purchase health insurance if it includes abortion coverage. The bill is so extreme that women who had an abortion after rape or incest would need to suffer through an IRS audit to prove the rape or incest in order to get an exception.
Will you join me in signing Brad's petition to demand Republicans abandon this outrageous legislation?
So why do anti-choice Republicans continue to put so much effort and energy to refighting these old battles? Simply put, they think they can wear us down.
Not on my watch.
Brad is 100 percent pro-choice and has already shown us that in Congress, he isn't going to back down from a fight when it comes to protecting women's right to choose.
