With more than 100,000 New Yorkers already having lost their unemployment benefits, we need to restore them to help our economy and our communities.
The Senate is poised to vote on a proposal later this week. Will you help me send a message to the Senate that “no” is unacceptable?
Will you join me in calling on the Senate to pass an extension of unemployment benefits?
With the economy still sluggish, this extension is overdue. We can’t leave our neighbors who are struggling to find work out in the cold.
Unemployment insurance ensures that millions of Americans have some minimal income to support their families and contribute to the economy while they are searching for work.
