Lucas,
This Saturday, the NAACP's annual HKonJ march in Raleigh could be one of the largest civil rights demonstrations in the South in 50 years.
Join us to carry on the fight. In 2013, the legislature stripped away voting rights. The Governor broke a campaign promise to women on their right to choose. Lawmakers continue to cut public education and they raised taxes on working families which together add up to a clear attack on the middle-class.
We cannot sit home and watch progress unravel before our own eyes. Join us on Saturday. Stand up and be counted. There is strength in numbers. We hope you will add to them.
If you're coming from out of town and need a ride or if you know someone who does, you can find buses headed to Raleigh at http://www.hkonj.com/buses. You will also find a great deal of other logistical information about parking, etc. at this link.
If you want to march with us, we will gather on Wilmington St. between South St. and MLK Jr. Blvd beginning at 9:30 AM in downtown Raleigh. Look for our banner. We hope to see you there.
Keep up the fight.
