Time: Nominations due by March 14
NYCLA’s Young Lawyers’ Section is accepting nominations through Friday, March 14th for its Young Lawyers’ Section Awards, to be presented in spring 2014 at the First Annual Young Lawyer’s Section Dinner. The Awards will honor attorneys and law students who deserve recognition for their contributions to the legal profession. Nominations categories:

The NYCLA YLS Rising Leader of the Bar Award – presented to a NYCLA member, admitted no more than 10 years, who has demonstrated both commitment in the workplace and leadership in the broader community. Nominees should have a proven record within their place of employment and involvement in the broader community, which need not just be in legal-related activities, e.g., bar association or pro bono work.
2. The NYCLA YLS Law Student Award – presented to a NYCLA member who has demonstrated both academic excellence and commitment to the legal profession. Nominees should be those who are excelling academically and have taken leadership initiatives in either their law school or the broader community.
Submit a nomination for either, or both of these awards. Include a biography and statement about the nominee’s achievements, to the attention of Oriana Carravetta, Esq., NYCLA YLS Dinner Chair, by email: NYCLA.YLS.AWARDS@gmail.com by March 14, 2014. Nominees need to be NYCLA Members for at least one year. Honorees will receive a Certificate, along with a one year complimentary NYCLA membership.
