HELP THEM PURSUE PUBLIC SERVICE CAREERS

With the Spring academic semester underway, Brooklyn Law Students for the Public Interest (BLSPI) is gearing up for its annual Charity Auction Fundraiser. This event has always been an exciting and popular event for BLS students, alumni and friends, and we are making every effort to make the 2014 Auction our biggest success yet. The Auction will take place on March 6, 2014 on the 22nd floor of Feil Hall and we would like to formally invite you to join us in the festivities.

BLSPI’s mission is to facilitate meeting the legal needs of underrepresented communities and individuals while educating law students about the integrity and necessity of such work. The BLSPI Auction is the largest annual student-run event at Brooklyn Law School and is actively attended by students, professors, and their families.

Auction proceeds fund the BLSPI Fellowship. The Fellowship is awarded to a select group of students who will devote their upcoming summers to public interest law. The selected BLSPI Fellows embody the strong public interest commitment of BLSPI, and the Fellowship provides the support without which many of our Fellows would be unable to undertake this important work. For more details on the work of our Fellows, please visit www.blspi.org/fellows.

Please consider donating to ensure that Brooklyn Law students have the resources they need to pursue careers in public interest. We are asking for both monetary sponsorship and items or experiences that you think Brooklyn Law students, professors, and alumni would bid on at the Auction. For a list of last year's donations, visit www.blspi.org/auction/auction-items. Monetary contributions can be made online by clicking here, or you can send a check made out to Brooklyn Public Interest Law Foundation to 250 Joralemon St., Rm 714M, Brooklyn, NY 11201. If you are interested in donating an item, just visit our website: www.blspi.org/auction/donate or email us at auction@blspi.org.

Please note that all donations are tax deductible and tax receipts will be mailed shortly after the event unless requested earlier.

Thank you for your previous and continued support. We look forward to seeing you in March as we join to celebrate the work of BLSPI.

Sincerely,
Brendan Gibbons and Sara Friedman
