In 2014, it is a shame that we still have to talk about pay equality. But the truth is that women still get paid, on average, 23 cents less per dollar than their male colleagues.
We already know this isn't fair, but let's face it: The pay gap is unfair for everyone, because it doesn't just affect women, it affects their families too.
Republicans in Congress have obstructed fair pay legislation for far too long and now, with the recent news stories, it's clear that we must take immediate action. As a father, I want to be sure that my three daughters and all future generations of women have the same opportunities and equalities as their male colleagues.
Thanks,
Domenic
