After Election Night, I said the next two years will be hard — because
the Republicans headed to Congress are as extreme as it gets.
Well, the new Republicans haven't even gotten to Capitol Hill yet,
and multiple media outlets are already saying they are going to push anti-choice
legislation the second they get sworn in. We can't let them get away
with this.
This election was tough, but it's time to get off the mat, dust ourselves
off, and get ready for the next round. Because if we stay down, women
across this country will lose.
Tell Senate Republicans that we won't let this extreme legislation
pass. Add your name to the petition and help hold them accountable.
Republicans made every effort in this last election to sweep their anti-choice
records under the rug. Whether it was running ads promising to advocate
for women's rights or denying that they support "personhood"
measures, Republicans knew they couldn't win on their issues, so they
ran on ours.
But instead of cleaning up their acts, they're doubling down on dangerous
policies that put women's health at risk.
Now it's up to us to call them out and make sure we recruit the pro-choice
Democratic women who can beat them in 2016.
