SEXUAL ASSAULTS ARE UP

You need to see the latest numbers, Lucas:

Last week the Defense Department reported an 8% increase in reported sexual assault in our military over the past year – and the percentage of service members who say they faced retaliation after reporting the atrocious crime committed against them stayed the same: 62%. It is no wonder why in 2014, still 7 out of 10 survivors feel they cannot report their assaults.

When I saw this, I knew I had to reach out to you again. We cannot let this broken system continue to fail the brave men and women in our military. Enough is enough. This is our last opportunity this Congress to pass meaningful reform and end the vicious cycle of sexual assault – seizing it requires all of us to speak out together.

Join me now: Demand Congress pass the Military Justice Improvement Act and protect survivors of sexual assault in our military.

Thank you for sticking with me on this issue. It's been a long fight, but we cannot abandon the men and women of our military.
