
Chanukah Under the Stars at Mizner Park
Chanukah Under the Stars at Mizner Park Amphitheatre, 5 pm to 9 pm on Friday, December 19, 2014 This free community event will be a beautiful evening under the night sky, as members from the local South Florida Jewish community come together to celebrate the joyous holiday of Chanukah.
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm A variety of food will be available for purchase such as traditional Jewish, Italian, Mediterranean, American and vegetarian. Kid friendly cuisine, such as latkes, chicken fingers, candy, desserts and beverages will also be available.
5:00 pm Children’s area including bounce houses, face painting, hair wraps and crafts.
6:00 pm Young Children’s Chanukah Shabbat and songfest will take the stage.
7:30 pm Chanukah and Shabbat service begins, featuring the temple clergy; Cantorial Soloist Lori Shapiro, Cantorial Soloist Lawrence Dermer, Rabbi Dan Levin, Rabbi Jessica Spitalnic Brockman and Rabbi Greg Weisman. Temple Beth El’s Adult Chorale(Shir Shalom), the teen group (Shir Ruach), and the youth choir (Shir Joy) will also be featured in this musical celebration and accompanied by professional musicians.
The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is supporting the event through its Jewish Outreach Grant. Sanford and Marion Goldstein are the presenting sponsors.
Free and Family Friendly Chanukah Celebration in Boca Raton
This event is free and open to the community. Limited seating is available; please bring lawn chairs and blankets. It will be held at the Mizner Park Amphitheater . In addition to the Mizner parking garages there will be overflow parking just north of the amphitheater at the First United Methodist Church, 625 NE Mizner Boulevard, Boca Raton, FL 33432, the CenterState Bank Building, 900 Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432 and the Cendyn Building, 980 Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432. That parking, as with the Mizner parking garages, will be free. Arrive early for best parking.
