Lucas,
Leading up to this midterm election, you’ve no doubt seen a lot of top ten lists – from the most vulnerable House candidates to the Senate seats that are most likely to change party.
But I wanted to take a moment to tell you MY top ten reasons this election matters and why I hope you’ll dig in and give all you can to support Off The Sidelines (OTS):
- We can’t afford to let the Supreme Court pass more harmful, sweeping decisions like Hobby Lobby.
- We must elect leaders who will protect a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions – no one else will.
- Wendy Davis (TX) and Mary Burke (WI) are poised to turn their states’ governors’ mansions blue!

- We can reduce the burden of loan debt for our students, our country’s future leaders.
- We can FINALLY raise the minimum wage to a livable wage – but only if we elect key allies.
- Medicare and Social Security will be on the chopping block if we lose our Democratic Senate majority.
- Three female Democratic Senators – Kay Hagan, Mary Landrieu and Jeanne Shaheen – could be the ones to stop a GOP Senate takeover.

- We must ease restrictions on voting, not add more burdens.
- We can elect strong Democrats Michelle Nunn, Alison Lundergan Grimes, Amanda Curtis and Natalie Tennant to be the FIRST FEMALE SENATORS FROM THEIR STATES!

- Enacting campaign finance reform now will stop special interests from buying another election from American voters.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for standing with me on this.
- Kirsten [Gillibrand]
