Dear Lucas,
Right now, we have 569,051 signers on our petition speaking out against
Citizens United.
That’s a lot of people! How about some helpful comparisons to help
visualize that number?
- Enough to sell out 14 Twins home games
- Enough to fill Paisley Park for 308 Prince concerts
- Enough to meet the average number of Pronto Pups sold at the Minnesota State Fair -- and leave about 69,051 people wondering, “Hey, where’s mine?”
But so far, it’s not enough to make Washington take action to reverse
the effects of
Citizens United. We’ve been making progress. If it took 569,051 to get Washington
to take notice,
let’s see if 600,000 can apply enough pressure to speed up the process.
