If elected Public Advocate, Letitia James will be the ONLY woman to hold city-wide office in New York City.
Like all women, she’s worked hard to get here. Starting off in the Legal Aid Society, Tish represented poor children and families in court. In the City Council, she took on deceptive, limited-service health centers that denied women the right to choose, and helped bring down a deeply offensive billboard that compared a black woman’s right to choose with genocide.
