Secretary Ken Salazar will keynote the closing plenary. Salazar served as the 50th United States Secretary of the Interior in the administration of President Barack Obama from 2009-2013. A Colorado local, he previously served as a United States Senator from Colorado from 2005 to 2009. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, he served as Attorney General of Colorado from 1999 to 2005. He recently became a partner in the major international law firm of WilmerHale and was charged with opening a Denver office for the firm.

Amir Peretz, Israel Minister of Environmental Protection, will speak on Sunday, October 27. He has also served as Minister of Defense and leader of the Labor Party. A Member of Knesset since 1988, he served on the Foreign Affairs and Defense, Labor and Welfare, Constitution, Law and Justice, and House Committees, as well as the Committees on the Status of Women and Foreign Workers. He was also a member of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on Social Disparity.
