Dear Friend,
I would like to personally thank you for all of your support. We fought hard and were in the race until the very end. We kept our campaign clean, honest and never wavered from our principles. I am proud of the campaign we ran and of all the family, friends and supporters that worked relentlessly and passionately over the last couple of months.
The campaign may be over, but my fight to keep Queens and each of its 2.25 million residents safe is not. I will continue working for the betterment of our great borough. This campaign was never about me - it was always about fighting for and giving a voice to everyone who calls Queens home. I believe that even in defeat, we have accomplished that and I will continue to make sure the borough we love remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
As for me, I count myself among the luckiest people in the world to have the friends, family and supporters that I do. I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
