We owe it to our children to set them up for success. But we undermine that mission if we place them in inadequate and unhealthy schools. In our recent poll of our members and supporters, we found that 24 percent of the people said their school was in poor or hazardous condition.
Let's get to work modernizing our public school facilities so that all children have the opportunity to learn and play in a safe, healthy and high-performing school. Advocating for school improvements is part of our Repair America campaign. Just like our transportation, communications and water systems, our nation's schools are important to our everyday functioning and prosperity, and we need to invest in upgrading and modernizing them alongside the rest of our nation's infrastructure.
