Statement from Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura Commemorating Anniversary of September 11th
"It was twelve years ago today that nearly 3,000 innocent people were killed. That horrible day, we saw the worst of our enemies and the very best of our country. Our heartfelt condolences go out to those in Brooklyn, and across the New York City region, who lost loved ones. However, our resilience as Brooklynites - and New Yorkers - is the best way to honor their memory. Where the World Trade Center once stood is the Freedom Tower, a physical sign of that resiliency and our urge to always rebuild. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to that very mission, ensuring that we work every day towards making Brooklyn, and New York City, the very best it can be."
