Many women experience mild mood changes during or after the birth of a child. As many as 15 to 20% of women experience more significant symptoms of depression or anxiety.
Hear Rabbi Felicia Sol and two leading experts, Sonia Murdock and Dr. Shari I. Lusskin, speak about identifying and treating postpartum depression. Senator Krueger will also attend and present on new legislation she and Assemblymember Richard Gottfried passed this year to help increase early detection and successful treatment of postpartum depression in New York State.
Sonia Murdock is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Postpartum Resource Center of New York.
Dr. Shari I. Lusskin is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
