SILVER & GOLD

Brenda Rowe filed suit in Binghamton City Court claiming that Silver & Gold Expressions allegedly stole her diamond ring and other jewelry during an appraisal and sale of her property. And an appeal was filed after the company was ordered to pay the lady some $5,000 in damages.

Because a small claims judgment will not be vacated unless it is "clearly erroneous," the Appellate Division, Third Department, left the outcome undisturbed--particularly since Rowe was found to be credible and her documentary evidence, such as a "lost ring appraisal," sufficiently supported the award.

That was precious.
