Hi Lucas,
This government shut down has made it clear: we are on the front lines of a difficult battle. That is why I'm hosting an Autumn Garden Party Fundraiser for my friend, colleague, and DCCC Front Line Contender, Congressman Tim Bishop.
Tim represents New York's 1st District. He's a proven leader who gets results for his constituents and our country. Tim has also done outstanding work as a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the House Education and Workforce Committee - two critically important positions for restoring the middle class.
New York's 1st congressional district is a swing district and one of the most important districts for Democrats to win. In the last several election cycles, Tim has won some of the closest races in the country. I want to make sure he has the resources he needs so we can continue to count on his leadership in Congress.
