ADOPT-A-GERANIUM

Come join us this October as we keep the "green" in Bowling Green.

First, on Wednesday, October 9th, the Downtown Alliance will dig up thousands of geraniums from Bowling Green Park and give them away – for free! - to anyone who drops by between 10 AM and noon. So if you live or work, or are visiting Lower Manhattan, just come by to our Adopt A Geranium event for your free plant to brighten your home or office.

Then, come get a pair of gloves and help us plant thousands of tulips at our Fall Community Planting Day on Saturday, October 19th from 10 AM to noon. There's no need to bring any tools or gloves; they will be supplied by the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation! We'll also have refreshments and snacks, and activities for kids.

Both events are co-sponsored by Con Edison, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, New York City Council Member Margaret Chin, Community Board 1, FiDi Association, Whole Foods and GrowNYC.

If you'd like more information, please visit www.DowntownNY.com. We'll see you this October!
