Come join the 85-voice City Bar Chorus, directed by Kathryn E. Schneider and accompanied by Matthew V. Grieco, as it celebrates 20 years of “musical pro bono” service with its most elaborate and wide-ranging concert yet.
Since 1993, New York’s only “all-legal” chorus has staged more than 200 concerts at senior residences, homeless shelters, AIDS and cancer patient residences, and pediatric and rehabilitation facilities around the city. The chorus has also sung for luminaries of the bench and bar and appeared on national and local television.
Listeners are won over by the CBC’s powerhouse, professional-quality sound and exciting, energetic repertoire. The group’s eclectic songlist runs the gamut from Queen to Dolly Parton, Gershwin to gospel, and West Side Story to Pippin and Wicked. Whether you are a long-time fan or have never before heard the CBC, there is no better time to see them shine.
