Lucas,
Protecting our climate is good for consumers.
That's because, as climate change worsens:
- Health care costs will go up. [1] [2]
- Droughts become more common and drive up food prices. [3] [4]
- Infrastructure costs increase. [5]
It's time to get smart.
Tell the Environmental Protection Agency to protect consumers by protecting our climate.
Carbon pollution in the atmosphere has reached an all-time high. The effects of climate change are already being felt around the world.
The EPA has already proposed rules for limiting carbon pollution from new power plants. Now they are developing rules for existing power plants.
Clean energy industries — especially wind and solar — are growing rapidly. Setting a carbon standard will make clean energy sources even more attractive and will help grow our local economies.
This is an historic step in the effort to limit climate change — we need to rally behind it.
Tell the EPA you support limiting carbon pollution from power plants.
You can be sure that that the energy companies will have their say — make sure your voice is heard too.
Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Allison Fisher
