40% Say Obama Good or Excellent Leader
Negative reviews of President Obama's leadership continue to rise and now stand at their highest level in over three years.
Forty-four percent (44%) of Likely U.S. Voters consider the president's leadership poor, up two points from August and his highest negative rating since September 2010. Forty percent (40%) rate the president as a good or excellent leader. That's down three points from 43% in August and from a high of 55% last December. With the president's positive ratings generally running in the mid- to upper 40s in regular surveys for the past two years, this marks his lowest positives since December 2011. The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on November 19-20, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
