NO ENDING ENDA

Lucas,

The Senate took a historic step this week by passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would protect LGBT Americans from discrimination in the workplace. This legislation is long overdue and would protect employees in 29 states who don’t currently have this protection.

This is a positive development – but it won’t go any further if Speaker of the House John Boehner has his way. He’s already pledged to single-handedly prevent ENDA from coming to a vote on the House floor. This is unacceptable and unfair, and I know that I can count on you to stand up to this injustice with me.

Click here to sign my petition calling on John Boehner to bring ENDA to the House floor for a vote.

All Americans deserve to be secure in their workplace, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. We can right this wrong – but only if John Boehner allows the House to vote on ENDA. That’s why I cosponsored the bill – it’s the right thing to do, and it deserves a vote.

Join me in demanding a vote on ENDA and tell John Boehner that it’s time for the next step toward equality.

Thanks,

Nita
