LIU STATEMENT IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY
In honor of Veterans Day, City Comptroller John C. Liu issued the following statement:
"As we mark another Veterans Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. By standing on the frontlines, our troops have made tremendous sacrifices to protect the freedoms we are so fortunate to enjoy. We must continue to support our veterans and their families and work hard to ensure access to decent resources and services. Last Tuesday, I was honored to stand with New Yorkers to support a ballot measure to increase civil service points for disabled veterans. I pledge to continue to work tirelessly to ensure our veterans know just how much they mean to us. Let us honor our heroes everyday in all that we do. May God bless our troops!"
