Over the holiday weekend, I stopped by S3 -- one of Fort Lauderdale's newest restaurants.
Started off with the "Mac & Cheese with smoked gouda" (minus the "crispy prosciutto") -- $9
(While it sure looked good, it came out a bit watery and wasn't appetizing.)
Wok charred edamame - soy, togarashi, yuzu, and sea salt (on the side) -- $6
Get the sea salt on the side. The dish may come out a bit too salty if they overdo it with the soy.
Sushi specialty rolls were quite enjoyable.
Eel roll -- cucumber, avacado, sweet glaze - $12 (top)
Rainbow roll -- tuna, snapper, salmon, avocado, cucumber - $13 (bottom)
S3's sushi bar
Chocolate lawyer cake -- $12 -- was on the dry side. Badly needed the ice cream.
