Lucas,
19 minutes. That's how much time Fox News has spent covering the recent, urgent news about sexual assault in the military.
The epidemic of military sexual assault is at a crisis point in this country. And Democratic women in Congress -- including Claire McCaskill, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kay Hagan, Jeanne Shaheen, and Mazie Hirono on the Senate Armed Services Committee -- are taking the lead in making critical reforms. But as our friends at Media Matters for America noted, while other news outlets have devoted serious and substantive coverage to this story, Fox News hasn't thought this story was worth more than 19 minutes.
Speak out now. It's time for Fox News to stop neglecting this story -- and our service members facing sexual assault at an unprecedented rate.
Protecting our most dedicated citizens is critical work. We can't stop. It's crucial that the country know the scope of this problem -- and Fox News is shamefully paying (almost) no attention.
Don't let Fox News continue to slight our women and men in uniform.
Get on it.
