Latinos and the 2013 NYC Mayoral Elections
Tuesday, June 25, 2013
6:00pm-8:30pm
New York, NY
Despite representing close to a third of the NYC population, there has been little discussion of the role of the Latino community in this year's Mayoral elections. With the positions of Mayor, Comptroller, Public Advocate, Borough Presidents and City Council at stake, the Latino vote will, however, be critical.
A diverse panel of veteran Latino journalists will discuss the politics and policy concerns of the Latino community in this year's elections. What will Latino voters be looking for in the candidates? Is there a citywide Latino agenda? What are the challenges in assuring fuller Latino participation in the primary and general elections?
The candidates for Mayor will be invited . . . to listen.
