ULI New York is delighted to honor Bruce Ratner as our 2013 Real Estate Legend for his achievements as a developer, owner and manager of many signature New York City properties. Mr. Ratner will engage in what is sure to be a thoughtful and lively discussion highlighting his career. Each year, the Real Estate Legend series honors a real estate executive for professional achievement, distinguished service and for advancing the mission of the Urban Land Institute.

Bruce C. Ratner serves on Forest City Enterprises (FCE) board of directors, and is the Chairman and CEO of Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC), the New York City subsidiary of FCE. Mr. Ratner has led FCRC to prominence as one of the foremost urban real estate developers in the United States. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Ratner has become an agend of change, leading bold, transformative projects that continue to shape the city's future. From design to construction, FCRC has played a crucial role in developing many of New York City's most innovative projects, including Brooklyn's MetroTech Center, New York by Cehry at 8 Spruce Street and the New York Times building. The opening of Brooklyn's Barclays Center arena and entertainment venue in 2012 and the groundbreaking of what will be the world's tallest tower build using modular construction techniques have solidified FCRC's position as a leader in New York City architecture and construction.
