I knew starting this run for Congress wouldn’t be an easy path but I never realized how frustrating it could be sometimes. I’m frustrated that so many of you lent your voice to make sure we were supporting our college students by keeping a reasonable interest rate.
Instead of listening to the people of his district, Congressman Grimm voted on the Republican bill to bait and switch our college grads. Instead of locking in low rates, the Republicans passed a law that would have students pay more interest the longer they have the loan.
We can’t afford to burden our college students as they start their life in the work force and we can’t afford bad Republican policies. Will you chip in $5 or more to help me have the resources I need to fight back?
As a Dad, I know that students rely on those loans to help pay for college. And after they graduate, we should not be saddling them with more debt than they can handle.
Let’s make sure we hold Michael Grimm accountable for this vote. Keeping college affordable is one of my top priorities.
