The need for progressive women in New York's leadership positions has seldom been clearer.
Yetta Kurland has a proven track record as a progressive voice for this City who defends the under dog. She knows how to accomplish things and solve problems for her constituents.
That's why I'm proud to endorse Yetta Kurland's campaign for City Council on the West Side's 3rd Council District.
As the only woman elected Public Advocate in the City of New York, I worked to make sure that every New Yorker had a voice inside city government. I see Yetta Kurland doing that work every day. From the fight to restore a hospital for the Lower West Side, to fighting for her community when Superstorm Sandy hit, Yetta Kurland is an independent progressive woman who's never been afraid to say what's right.
