I've been through a tough campaign or two -- and let me tell you, if I were starting the process today my checklist would look something like this:
1) Call Stephanie at EMILY's List
2) Everything else
Barbara Buono made that list and it's giving her the chance to run for governor of New Jersey this November. Other progressive women all over the country are making the same list. And I know Stephanie wants to tell each of them EMILY's List has their backs, just like she could with Barbara and Kay Hagan and Jeanne Shaheen.
I can tell you from my experience as the former Governor of Michigan that having EMILY's List's early support can take a campaign from zero to 60. Women need that kind of momentum -- today -- to defeat a charging, revenge-seeking GOP.
