THE RIGHT TO HAIL A CAB?

Lucas

Last week, the New York State Court of Appeals ruled that the City of New York cannot discriminate against people who live north of 96th street or in the other city boroughs. They're exactly right.

Unfortunately, some of the city's political leaders supported the big taxi fleets over the people who live and work in all the neighborhoods outside of central Manhattan. Personally, I don't think big corporate medallion owners need anybody to advocate for them - they've got all the money they need to do that.

If you agree with me that we need leaders in City Hall who will fight for fairness across our City, who will expand transportation options in every community, so small business owners in Jamaica, moms and dads in Soundview, and families in Flatbush all have safe, reliable transportation, then please click here now and forward this email to your friends and neighbors.

Bill Thompson has fought for fairness and equality his entire life. He's never backed down from a fight, even when others found political safety in giving themselves a third term or looking for an easy election.

Click here and let your friends and family know: Bill believes New Yorkers in Harlem, Jamaica and across our city should have the same right to hail a cab as people on 5th Avenue.

Thanks,

Jonathan Prince
