Lucas,
Just six months ago, "normal" was shattered for 26 families.
Since that horrible day in Newtown, more than 5,000 families across America have experienced the unimaginable – the sudden loss of a loved one due to gun violence.
As each gun tragedy – Tucson, Aurora, and Newtown – slips deeper into our collective memory, we can't let the deaths of these innocent men and women, children and seniors, students and teachers be forgotten.
Earlier this year, the Senate ignored 9 out of 10 Americans by rejecting a common sense gun safety bill.
That's why Carolyn is working with her colleagues to make sure that – this time – the sensible majority will be heard in Washington.
Because of engaged supporters like you, we are finally having a conversation about gun safety. Now is our moment to translate words into reform. Please join Carolyn to demand action.
More than a decade after Columbine, for many, the names of the victims have faded to footnotes in our history books. We can't let that happen to the families of the victims in the classrooms in Newtown, or at Rep. Gabby Giffords' town hall in Tucson, or at a movie theater in Aurora.
We must seize this moment to rise up and demand real reform. The victims' families will never forget, and neither can we.
It's time to act to prevent another tragedy. Demand Congress pass gun safety reform now.
