In today's DOMA and Proposition 8 decisions, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in favor of love and justice.
Like many of you, I am overjoyed that our nation's highest court struck down the unconstitutional Defense of Marriage Act and restored marriage equality in California. Our country has now taken a bold step towards fully embracing what I have long supported- full marriage equality across our great nation.
Loving and committed couples in each and every state should be able to marry who they love, and we must elect a majority in Congress that shares this belief. The Court today has affirmed that we all people deserve equal protection under the law, and I will not stop fighting until we get there.
