LET'S TALK ABOUT THE TPP

Lucas,

Your tireless work is paying off.

Finally, after all of our demands, someone in Congress was allowed to see the draft text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Representative Alan Grayson just became the first and only so far to view the text, no doubt thanks to your help calling for an end to the TPP secrecy.

But there's a catch.

Rep. Grayson isn't allowed to talk about what he saw.

Seriously. The Obama Administration says the document is classified.

Says Grayson: "I would characterize it as a punch in the face to the middle class of America. I think that's fair to say from what I've seen so far. But I'm not allowed to tell you why!"

Echoing Sen. Elizabeth Warren's demands last week, Grayson called for the entire draft text to be released to the public.

The more we talk about the TPP, the easier it will be to protect ourselves from another damaging deal.

Take a look at a new campaign website and share it with your family and friends.

This secret trade agreement has been in negotiations for more than three years. And until now, members of Congress were locked out.

But the public and press still can't see what's in the TPP.

Leaked texts have revealed that the TPP means unsafe foods, higher medicine prices and limits on Internet freedom.

This website will help you spread the word and keep the pressure on to make the text public.

We'll leave you with one last description of the TPP from Congressman Grayson:

"It's an assault on democratic government."

Check out the latest tool to stop the TPP and let's get this done together.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Maggie Henderson
