The political battle over commonsense gun safety legislation just took an ugly turn.
Right-wing activists in Colorado just filed recall petitions against Democratic state Senate President John Morse, because of his leadership in passing new laws mandating universal background checks and limiting high-capacity magazines like the one used in the Aurora theatre shooting.
Republicans are desperate to make an example out of Senator Morse so they can destroy the movement for commonsense gun safety laws across the country – that's why we need to mobilize today.
