Like you, my heart broke when I first heard Trayvon Martin’s story. Gunned down at the age of 17, armed only with a bag of skittles.
Across the country our hearts broke again as we watched our justice system fail Trayvon, fail his family, and fail all of us.
Let's make no mistake – Trayvon Martin was the victim this time, but when injustice stands, there will be other victims.
Join me in telling the Dept. of Justice to file civil rights charges in this case:

Trayvon Martin’s right to life was violated. His life was taken from him too young.
I am humbled by the grace shown by Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin.
How can we feel anything but hurt and outrage at this verdict? Those of us who watched the case learned about Trayvon's promising future
and witnessed the dignity and determination of his parents.
We need to use the anger we feel to make sure this isn’t the end. The DoJ has been following the case – they know what has happened here, and they have a duty to act.
Please join me in telling the DoJ, act now: Demand Justice For Trayvon Martin
More soon,
