KIRSTEN'S GOING FOR SCOTT STRINGER

Dear Friend,

As New Yorkers head to the polls this fall to cast their ballots for citywide office, I wanted to take a second to tell you why I support Scott Stringer to be the City's next Comptroller.

Scott has a proven record of fighting hard for the middle class. As Borough President, he helped thousands of families and individuals to open bank accounts through his Bank On Manhattan program, and fought for rent regulations and permanent affordable housing. As an Assemblymember, he passed landmark legislation on domestic violence, and enacted rules reform to make the State Assembly more transparent and efficient.

His experience as a trustee of the New York City Employee Retirement System -- where he has helped to grow the city's pension funds and advance important shareholder initiatives around corporate governance, environmental stability and workplace safety -- positions him to be a great comptroller.

Scott has been a tireless and dedicated public servant, and he has the temperament and judgment to be a first rate fiscal watchdog for the taxpayers of New York City.

Sincerely,

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
