Lucas,
Around the country, people are frustrated with Congress. Whether it is stonewalling important administration and judicial nominees or putting forward bill after bill designed to strip environmental and workplace protections, it’s clear that things in Congress aren’t working like they should be.
This legislation, sponsored by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), will help repair and modernize the systems we rely on every day — creating good jobs, reducing pollution, strengthening our economy, and protecting our communities from the impacts of our changing climate.
By creating a National Infrastructure Bank, we can spark investment of hundreds of billions of dollars into transportation, energy, communications and water projects and help bridge our infrastructure gap.
Fixing America’s basic systems — drinking and waste water, energy transmission, transit and rail, pipelines, communications, buildings, and roads and bridges — is critical to growing our economy and protecting our communities from the impacts of climate change.
Let’s make this good idea a reality and create good jobs, reduce pollution, address climate change, and ensure America’s global competitiveness by repairing the systems we rely on every day.
Sincerely,
David Foster
