Inmate Amin Booker was found guilty of smuggling and drug possession because he had allegedly asked a friend to transport heroin and marijuana into the prison.
On administrative review, the case was transferred by the Albany County Supreme Court to the Appellate Division, Third Department, which felt the outcome was supported by "substantial evidence" -- that Amin "solicited and conspired" to get the contraband into the correctional facility -- and that there had been no due process or procedural irregularities which prejudiced his case.
Amen.
