LET'S KEEP THE PRESSURE ON

Dear Lucas,

Thank you for standing with Rockaway residents and demanding that Mayor Bloomberg take immediate action to remediate mold in homes flooded during Hurricane Sandy.

Can you keep the pressure on by spreading the word about our campaign? Click here to share our petition with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.

Last night, House Republicans continued the disturbing trend of neglecting families affected by Hurricane Sandy. By shelving a crucial aid bill that would provide addition funding for recovery, these elected officials put partisan politics over the needs of everyday Americans and left thousands in the Rockaways and other areas affected by the storm literally out in the cold.

This morning NYCC released a report detailing the failures of the city's response to the growing crisis in the Rockaways. Nearly 30% of Rockaway Residents surveyed had no heat and 80% still have wet sheetrock in their homes, or paid out of pocket to remove it.

Now more than ever, it's critical we keep the pressure on Mayor Bloomberg and demand he takes immediate action to address the mold. Can you help spread the word by sharing the petition on Facebook and Twitter or by emailing your friends to let them know about our campaign?
