BP MARKOWITZ STATEMENT ON SIGNING OF J-51 LEGISLATION BY GOVERNOR CUOMO
"Bravo to the State legislature and Governor Cuomo for making much needed improvements to the J-51 Program. Increasing access to affordable housing in Brooklyn has been a priority for me since my earliest days of public service and this piece of legislation will not only make it easier for properties to guarantee affordable housing but also will provide incentives for higher quality residence for all tenants. By bettering the J-51 program, we are ensuring Brooklynites get a much needed "home improvement" and are sure to give some buildings an "extreme home makeover."
