
After he was convicted of assault in the second degree, Abel Jimenez claimed his five-year sentence was "harsh and excessive."
Apparently, after being stopped, Abel accelerated his vehicle, and seriously injured a police officer in the process.
On appeal, the Appellate Division, Third Department, rejected Abel's request for leniency because it felt he had shown "total disregard" for the cop's safety.
He wasn't Abel to get out of that?
