DiNapoli Receives Hubert H. Humphrey Humanitarian Award
State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli received the Hubert H. Humphrey Humanitarian Award in recognition of his lifetime of public service to the state of New York and its citizens. The award was presented at the United Federation of Teachers’ annual Greater Metropolitan New York Social Studies Conference held over the weekend at which DiNapoli delivered the luncheon keynote address.
“I am humbled to receive an award bearing the name of Hubert H. Humphrey, an honorable and transformative national figure. Vice President Humphrey was a strong voice for issues that improved the lives of Americans in need,” said DiNapoli. “It is a collective and individual responsibility of every citizen to advocate for the needs of us all.”
