Last week week, President Obama talked about how the looming sequester budget cuts are a "meat cleaver approach" -- that they'll "eviscerate job creating investments in education, energy and medical research.”

He's right -- such drastic cuts would move our country in the exact wrong direction, and could even reverse our economic recovery. Yet Republicans in Congress are playing games and petty politics with our future. They won't consider any proposal that includes even a small tax increase on the wealthiest Americans. It's like a broken record.

We want the House GOP to bargain with President Obama and Democrats in good faith and put a stop to the madness.

Congress only has until March 1st to pass legislation and avoid these drastic cuts. If we show the GOP that Americans overwhelmingly support helping the middle class over millionaires, they won't have any choice but to listen.
