With the Spring academic semester underway, Brooklyn Law Students for the Public Interest (BLSPI) is gearing up for its annual Charity Auction Fundraiser. This event has always been an exciting and popular event for BLS students, alumni and friends, and we are making every effort to make the 2013 Auction our biggest success yet. The Auction will take place on March 21, 2013 on the 22nd floor of Feil Hall.
Already this year, BLSPI has organized a number of successful events, including a blood drive, a candy drive for children living in domestic violence shelters, a canned food drive for the city's food pantries, and a number of mentoring activities. Additionally, BLSPI helped organize the Brooklyn Law Student's Committee for Hurricane Sandy Relief to help provide free legal assistance to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. We would not be able to do any of these events without the funding that comes directly from the annual Auction. The Auction funds 20 BLSPI Fellows every summer who volunteer at non-profit legal organizations. For more details on the work of our Fellows, please visit www.blspi.org/fellows.
