The chorus of mothers and fathers demanding a vote on gun safety legislation is growing louder and louder every day.
As President Obama said in his State of the Union, "They deserve a vote. Gabby Giffords deserves a vote. The families of Newtown deserve a vote."
Yet even two months after the tragic shooting in Newtown, Congress still hasn't acted.
That's why I'm joining EMILY's List and the DCCC in demanding lawmakers vote immediately on the president's commonsense gun safety proposals. We must expand background checks, reinstate the assault weapons ban, eliminate high-capacity magazines and crack down on gun trafficking and the black market.
We need you to lend your voice now. We have to seize this opportunity for real reform.
