Public Advocate-Elect Letitia James to hold Transition Town Hall Meeting

On Monday, December 16th at 6:00 pm, Councilwoman and Public Advocate-Elect Letitia "Tish" James will host a transition town hall meeting as part of her effort to make the transition inclusive and allow New Yorkers to shape the Public Advocate's initiatives. Along with James, members of the transition team will attend the town hall meeting and take input from local leaders, members of the not-for-profit sector, and residents.

The event will be held at College of Staten Island, The City University of New York, 2800 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, New York 10314 – Green Dolphin Lounge – Building Student Center 1 C

About Letitia "Tish" James: A Brooklyn native, Tish James has been elected to serve as the New York City Public Advocate. She has been a City Council member since 2003. During her tenure in the Council, Tish distinguished herself as a powerful progressive leader who championed working families, helping pass paid-sick leave, living-wage legislation, tenant protections, and various progressive measures. Prior to the City Council, James served as public defender in the Legal Aid Society, as an assistant state attorney general (Brooklyn region) and as a top-level aide in the State Assembly
