Today millions of Americans are working full-time jobs but are still not able to support their families.
For more than four years, the minimum wage has been frozen at $7.25. A family with two children that earns minimum wage lives below the poverty line. That's unacceptable.
I believe that if you work hard, you should be able to earn enough to get by and support your family.
We need to raise the minimum wage. 80% of Americans support this common sense proposal that would reduce inequality and grow our economy, but congressional Republicans are blocking legislation that would get it done.
